Air Travel and the Coronavirus (The OTHER “Cancel Culture”)

Early birds famously get the worm, as the saying goes.

But, late birds get a full refund for cancelled air travel.

At least, that’s the case if the airline cancels your flight before you do — and you (OK, me) decline their offer to be rescheduled.

By contrast, all those early-to-cancel travelers (my wife included) had to navigate a confusing welter of waived airline change fees, credit(s) for future travel, and long online wait times for assistance . . .
