Twin Cities “2019 Super Real Estate Agents” Announced by Mpls. St. Paul Magazine

12th(!) Straight Year on the List

I’m happy to report that the 2019 list of “Super Real Estate Agents” is out — and that I’m on it.

For the twelfth year in a row!

Jointly compiled by Mpls. St. Paul magazine, Twin Cities Business, and Crescendo Business Services, the annual list identifies the top 5% of Twin Cities real estate agents.

Their selection process:

“Tens of thousands of home buyers who have purchased a home for $250,000 or more are asked to name and evaluate agents they’ve worked with directly. From there, a panel of industry experts reviews each agent on the preliminary list. The agents who are ultimately selected represent the top 5 percent of Twin Cities real estate agents.”

The only thing I’d add is that, if you count all the agents who’ve made the list the last twelve years in a row, you’re no longer talking about the top 5% of all Twin Cities agents, but something like the top .50%.

Which means that only about 50 Twin Cities Realtors out of more than 10,000 total can claim that honor.

“What’s the Highest Point in Hennepin County?”

There sure seems to be some confusion on that, umm . . . point. I’ve now encountered at least three different properties — none close to one another — that all claimed that status in just the last month. For the record, according to Hennepin County’s website, it’s on Williston Road near High Point Road in Minnetonka — 1,131 feet above sea level. “Are You a Realtor?” “Why, Yes I Am!”

“There Goes My Realtor!” Admittedly, the intended effect is for clients who see me in and around the neighborhood where I live (by Cedar Lake in Minneapolis) to see my car on the road and say, “There Goes My Realtor!” But, my custom license plate (above) is also a conversation-starter when I’m parked. Like today, in Linden Hills, where a builder who has an upcoming listing saw my car and asked if I was a Realtor.
