“We Chose the Realtor That Provided Free Childcare On Closing & Moving Day”
Now, THAT’S Full Service
No, I’ve never (yet) competed for a listing, only to be told that I lost out to another agent who provided free childcare on closing & moving day.
But, at least one Twin Cities Realtors offers that benefit to clients.
Will it catch on?
Personally, I doubt it.
Slippery Slope
At least to me, helping clients manage their personal lives is a slippery slope.
Where’s the line between providing child care on closing and moving day, and providing child care to Buyers when you’re showing them houses? (also a real client need).
How about making sure your clients get fed on moving day?
Why not help ’em out and fetch their dry cleaning?
Defining “Full Service”
While I pride myself on full service, I choose to define it differently.
Like, hiring the best professional photographers for my listings; making sure my clients’ home are beautifully prepped and staged before hitting the market; exposing my listings to the broadest possible audience of Buyers via aggressive pre-list networking, social media exposure, etc.; taking care (as a former attorney) to explain the contractual nuances in a standard Minnesota purchase agreement as my clients weigh an Offer, Counter-offer, and any Amendments.
Etc., etc.
