“Peddling” Lies vs. “Pedaling” Lies

Once upon a time, unscrupulous people were said to “push” or “peddle” lies.

Now, apparently that’s not energetic enough.

If a lie is to actually get anywhere (never mind “around the world”), it needs to be actively pedaled.
